Yes, LabakCare Organization made our yearly medical mission trip to Cap Haitian HAITI on June 17th to June 23rd.We had a total of six volunteers. One Nurse Practitioner, One Pharmacist, one doctor’s office manager, one financial adviser, one registered nurse and one US army personnel. We spent our first day preparing, packing Medicines and getting ready for the next day.On the second day we were at Chida Hospital where some of us triaged patients, some where in the Emergency room and some where with the dentist.
On the third day,we headed to a nearby village Limbe but unfortunately we didn’t make it there due to the unrest. On the fourth day we were at another nearby village. We where stationed in a church. Here we saw around two hundred individuals ,adults and children with different medical problems. We Provided treatments and gave medicines.
On our fifth day we went to a small Island on a boat to spend the whole day relaxing on the beach.Day six was our busiest day.
We saw over two hundred men, women and Children. We were so busy seeing people in a very hot environment without any fan or air conditioner. One thing is for sure.We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish all that we did without the corporation of each one of us , the Haitian Nurses and Doctors that teamed up with us.Our hosts and hostess at where we stayed, the driver that was driving us around , the cooks that cooked us some palatable Hatians meals , but most especially to our on ground Haitian doctor who contributed his time to make it all happened. Once again we say thank you to all who have supported us in one way or the other. Much blessings everyone!!!!.
